When you say “I love you” are you being sincere,
Or do you just say it because it’s what others want to hear?
It seems like we treat the phrase ever so lightly.
They are just mere words to act politely.
It should be much more than the words spoken,
Not just a phrase that sounds like a record broken.
There must be actions to prove the words to be true,
Not just saying them in hope that they will do.
Love is an action that needs to be shown,
It makes others feel good and not so alone.
We need to show love in everything that we do,
After all, out of love, Christ died for me and you.
