We sometimes feel down and lost in sin,
Wandering around trying to find peace within.
We turn to things we think will take the pain away.
Soon to find out those things lead us further astray.
We slowly end up on a road leading us far from home,
Out in this cold, cruel world we are left to roam.
We become so enslaved that we think there is no way out,
Our minds so cluttered, wondering what life is all about.
Sometimes it’s when we hit rock bottom that reality sets in.
We realize the road we are on is leading us deeper into sin.
When we get to that point we have only one way to turn,
Go to Jesus, He’ll forgive and only for Him we’ll yearn!
