We all have days that are dark and dreary.
Times when we don’t feel like being cheery.
Sometimes life doesn’t go the way we plan,
And at times we think we’ve lost God’s hand.
We cannot see because our eyes are closed.
Our hearts have become weary and waxed cold.
Fearing we will never make it out of the night,
Feeling so weak, no strength left for the fight.
When in the dark hour a light shines through.
A warm and bright feeling comes over you.
Someone so gentle has come to your aide,
Because in the darkness,God is not afraid!
