She

She wears her heart on her sleeve
Her pain in her pocket
Lives behind a closed door
No one dares unlock it

She longs to be loved
But the fear is so strong
So she turns it away
Though it feels wrong

She puts her mind in the blender
The screams go unheard
Sitting in the darkness
Her thoughts are blurred

She pushes friends away
Says she’s better off alone
Trying to avoid the pain
Ignoring the love they’ve shown

She stores her tears in a bottle
And hides them in her room
If she tried to free them
Her life they would consume
