Sometimes I struggle with feelings of depression,
Something closing in on me like an oppression.
This feeling is so dark, lonely, and cold,
Leaving me barren, dry, not a good sight to behold.
The every day struggles are weighing me down.
When I tell others my worries, on me, they frown.
I don’t know where to turn there’s no where to run.
This heaviness is hurting, for it weighs a ton.
God, please have mercy and free my soul.
Take me from this pit to live for You, whole.
I want to serve You with a heart ever true.
Free from depression and happy in You.
